Muslims can, Islam can’t. What would a moderate muslim act like? According to the Koran, a good muslim must adhere to the teachings of the prophet Mohamed. The problem presented here is that according to the prophet, Shariah law is the only law. Now, I’m not sure how much you know about Shariah law, but you don’t have to know a lot to know that it is in no way moderate.

So can a muslim still be a good muslim and not want the implementation of Shariah law? Can a muslim still be true to Islam and still believe in the western idea of seperation of church and state? I don’t think so. A muslim who does not want the implementation of Shariah law is by definition a bad muslim or ignorant of the teachings of the Koran, and the Hadith.

Therefore, we can have either muslims that are bad practicioneers of their religion through lack of knowledge of what Islam actually teaches, or muslims whom do not believe in some of the basic tenets of their faith. In the case of the former some would say that these are not muslims at all. Under this scenario there is no moderate muslims. Imagine if a christian rejected a basic tenet of christianity such as christ dying for our sins, that person could not be considered to be a christian. This is the way moderate muslims are viewed by the Islamists and therefore become targets of their violent ideology as well.

Shariah law is not something seperate from Islam. It is a integral part of the religion. Of course, Islam is not just a religion as we perceive religion here in the west. Islam is a system of government first and foremost and a religion second, but you can’t have one without the other. There is no Islam without Shariah, and there is no Shariah without Islam.

If marriage cannot be defined as a union between and man and a women according to the Federal Judge in California, what is it then. 7 million people tried to define it as such but had their votes overruled by one man. So if marriage is not between a man and a woman what is it? Is it between a man and a man, or woman and a woman, or a man and two women?

Does the judge’s ruling mean that a buddy can marry his buddy that is dying just so he can legally inherit the dying buddy’s stuff thus avoiding estate taxes? Is this what we want?
